Visiting New York City for the first time can be a daunting task. There are hundreds of attractions (museums, parks, skyscrapers, squares, restaurants, stores) all around the city and visiting each and every one of them in a week’s time is an impossible feat. To make things a little easier for those of you visiting the city for the very first time, I have listed down the most popular attractions (along with a few of my favourite but not so popular attractions) in the city, grouped them based on location and, spread them across five days. Most of the attractions mentioned under each day are at walking distance from one to the next (in order of listing).
Now, some of you may not be interested in some of the places I’ve mentioned above. If you don’t like any of the attractions mentioned above, simply replace them with some other attraction. In NYC, you never have a shortage of places to visit.
Special Mentions – Serendipity, Macy’s, Washington Square Park, Strand Book Store, Museum of Modern Art, Watching a Broadway Musical, Ice Skating in Central park, Walking down 5th Avenue, Eating Pizza and Bagels and finally, Relishing a New York Cheesecake.
